Catered Affairs' Chef Lloyd Gould moved to Key West 14 years ago with the dream of starting a catering company. Since then he has built his reputation around town working as an executive chef in many well-respected fine dining establishments, all the while, free-lance catering on the side.

Gould's passion for cooking developed early in life. During his teen years he worked as a line cook, studying and learning everything he could about cooking and running kitchens. He quickly worked his way up and was running several corporate cafeterias in the Boston area prior to picking up and moving to Key West.

Gould looks at cooking as an art form. He believes in using the freshest local products and finest ingredients to create dishes that are delicious as well as visually appealing. "There's no better feeling than watching someone enjoy a beautiful meal that you've prepared for them." remark's Gould.

When the opportunity arose to start a Catering company with the owners of La Trattoria, where Gould has worked for several years, he jumped at the chance. This was the opportunity that he had been waiting for. "These guys know the restaurant business," Gould says, "When they do something, they do it right!" "I can't think of anyone I'd rather be in business with." Gould continues, "This opportunity has given me the creative freedom I need to continue La Trattoria's tradition of being the most well respected Italian restaurant in Key West and merge that with my passion for Island Cuisine and catering."

After being in the restaurant and catering business for over 20 years we have had time to improve on quality and service. One challenge that always presented itself with all catering companies is the quality of the food, we found an answer, BLANCHE. Blanche is our fully equipped full service kitchen trailer. WHERE YOU GO SHE GOES. Now you can enjoy hot quality food as if you were sitting in the dining room of any restaurant. Since she has joined our staff in October of 2011, Blanche has catered weddings, charities and corporate events ranging from 50 to 300 guests--needless to say she is a work horse. And here's the best part of Blanche, She's Free! Wherever your off premise event may be, Blanche will be there at no extra cost to you. This is just another amenity to make your event stress free and run with operational excellence. While growing up in Hoboken, New Jersey, my friends and I always use to go to the same Diner multiple times a week. The lovely women who was always attending to us, was Blanche. This is our way to pay homage to a special woman who was so much part of our childhood and upbringing. Thanks Blanche, we love you.
