Catered Affairs of Key West

For the past 23 years Bill Lay has been dedicated to the hospitality business. From his humble beginnings in Hoboken, New Jersey to his role as a project manager for a Large South Florida Restaurant chain and now as Proprietor Of La Trattoria, Irish Kevins and Virgilios Martini Bar In Key West.

His focus has always remained the same, Service-Service-Service. He attributes his success to satisfying his guest throughout his long career. Bill has hosted events for small gatherings and larger functions in Atlanta, Miami and Key West. Some of his larger events include functions for Oprah Winfrey, Gary Payton and The Bacardi Rum Company with some corporate events for Netezza International Inc, Waste Management Corporation and the Latin-American Builders association.

Understanding that no 2 events are alike, Bill has always treated each one as a unique experience, from the smallest intimate event to larger corporate functions. Making Bill Lay part of your team will give you the personal touch from the beginning to end.

A native of the Greater Baltimore Area, Amy moved to Key West in the summer of 2004. She has been in the service business since childhood and for the past 5 years has been coordinating functions for all different types of events; weddings, charities, bachelor and bachelorette party's and everything in between. Joining the team at Catered Affairs has really set her above the rest. With an eye for every detail and a commitment to excellence, Amy believes in leaving no stone unturned. With Amy as your Catering coordinator you will receive the personal touch which you deserve. Within the company we affectionately call her Mom, because she's always on top of things. After speaking with Amy you will understand that you and your event are in good hands. She's got your back.

Ross Bock

Born and raised in south east Michigan, minutes outside Detroit, Ross Bock has dedicated his life to the culinary arts and hospitality industry. Immediately after graduating from the Michigan Culinary Institute, Ross has worked his way to the top through hard work, positive attitude, and a great sense of humor, all of which he attributes to good ol' mom and dad, Gayle and Al Bock.

After graduating culinary school, Ross took a small sabbatical to the south of France to explore firsthand the origins and flavors of European cuisine. Upon returning to the always sunny Michigan, lol, he began doing some high end gourmet, catering to the elite in the Michigan area. From ground breaking hotels to the sophisticated sports bar, Ross has ventured from high end gourmet to the everyday cuisine, always keeping quality first in his foresight.

Now as the Executive Chef of a Key West institution, La Trattoria and Catered Affairs, Ross is bringing his culinary expertise to the southernmost city in the United States.

Like Grandpa Donald always said "Live, Laugh, and Love", that is the only way to succeed.

Brandi Parks

A native of the Upstate New York area, Bradi has made the pilmigrage to the Southernmost city in 2011. After High school bradi served our great country in the United states Air Force before finishing her education At Alfred State University. While owning a couple of businesses in the upstate new york area, Bradi had always dreamt of life outside of New York. And in one Bold move, she sold everything and began her journey to her new little island home. Bradi joined the catered affairs team early in 2014 and quickly made an impression on her fellow colleagues. Her fierce aggressiveness on quality and service advanced her quickly through the ranks. In early 2015 Bradi gladly accepted a position as the Assistant Catering Director. Working alongside Amy Lay she is sure to excel as she has throughout her life. We are very excited to invite her to our management team and look forward to her advancement putting quality and service for our guest a number one priority. Hard work and determination are the keys to Bradi moving forward.

After being in the restaurant and catering business for over 20 years we have had time to improve on quality and service. One challenge that always presented itself with all catering companies is the quality of the food, we found an answer, BLANCHE. Blanche is our fully equipped full service kitchen trailer. WHERE YOU GO SHE GOES. Now you can enjoy hot quality food as if you were sitting in the dining room of any restaurant. Since she has joined our staff in October of 2011, Blanche has catered weddings, charities and corporate events ranging from 50 to 300 guests--needless to say she is a work horse. And here's the best part of Blanche, She's Free! Wherever your off premise event may be, Blanche will be there at no extra cost to you. This is just another amenity to make your event stress free and run with operational excellence.

While growing up in Hoboken, New Jersey, my friends and I always use to go to the same Diner multiple times a week. The lovely women who was always attending to us, was Blanche. This is our way to pay homage to a special woman who was so much part of our childhood and upbringing. Thanks Blanche, we love you.
