1997 – Silver service is oriented for a right-handed waiter. Thus to serve the food, the waiter stands behind the guest and to the guest’s left, holds or supports the platter with their left hand, and serves the food with their right hand. It is common for the waiter to hold the serving-fork above the serving-spoon both in the right hand, and use the fingers to manipulate the two as a pincer for picking up and transferring the food.

All I can say is WOW! We started working with Amy with Catered Affairs in June of 2016 for our April 2017 wedding. She was extremely professional and thorough in explaining Catered Affairs options and their process. Amy and the chef coordinated their schedules to fit ours when we were in town for a tasting. Come wedding time, Catered Affairs delivered. The food was amazing. It was served fresh, not from a chafing dish. My guests could not stop complimenting us on the food and how friendly the servers and bar staff were. The staff was friendly, smiling, and always made sure there was a drink in my hand. 🙂 From the ceremony, to cocktail hour, to reception, everything went extremely as planned and transitioned smoothly. I cannot say enough great things about Catered Affairs. They are the way to go 110%.

My husband and I worked with Catered Affairs for our destination wedding at the Key West Garden Club in May. We cannot say enough positive things about the attentiveness of the company. They worked extremely hard to ensure we had everything we could have desired; even designing a Cuban Coffee bar with iced cafe con leches and bucci shots to incorporate our love for Cuban coffee. They worked hard with us to design the perfect menu for food as well. As a bride with a severe peanut allergy- I was nervous working with anyone. Catered Affairs made sure that there was absolutely no cross-contamination and made me feel at ease! We choose everything during the tasting (and did not need to change much-everything was so good!). We had one guest who was a vegetarian and did not eat dairy- they were more than able to accommodate. We just informed them where the guest was sitting and did not need to worry about anything. The food was incredible. Our guests are still talking about how amazing the eggplant stack was. We will absolutely be back to the company's restaurant for our first anniversary!

We worked with Bradi Parks throughout the whole process; and absolutely recommend any couple hosting a Key West wedding to do the same! We hired Bradi as our Day-of planner as well. At first, I wasn't sure if I needed a Day-Of Planner; however, now, I do not know what I would have done without her. She organized our rehearsal, directed everyone for the ceremony, and communicated with all of our vendors. Bradi was in constant communication with me for months leading up to the Big Day. Her replies were very time efficient; and communicated through email, text and call. She went above and beyond a wedding planner's role- even filling her personal car with our wedding belongings because we ran out of rental car space to drop them off. When I arrived at the wedding, all of our personal items were set up in perfect locations! We are so grateful to have had our dream wedding!

Catered Affairs of Key West did an outstanding job cooking and serving delicious food for our wedding. We had so many compliments on the food during the night and even a thank you note afterwards from a guest about how astounding the food was at the wedding (we still can’t believe we got a thank you note!). The serving staff were all stars at the event too, making sure that people swung by with food for me between photos and mingling with guests and even had plates of food prepared for the sweetheart table at our buffet dinner. I can’t say enough how wonderful the food and staff were!
